Colorful Trivets from Uganda
Natural and dyed raffia palm fibers are hand wrapped around dried banana stalks to form a pipe like structure. This pipe is then coiled to create a trivet. These trivets are wrapped with brightly colored raffia fibers to create bright and colorful trivets.
