Zardozi means gold embroidery in Persian. Zardozi embroidery is an important and traditional handicraft in persian culture. Although Persian, Zardozi craft was practiced in India since ancient times. Zardozi is an elaborate metal embroidery on silk, satin, or velvet fabric. The craft uses gold and silver threads, fine metal wires, pearls, beads, and precious stones.
