Pochampalli, Koyyalgudem, and Siripuram are the most popular weaving villages in Nalgonda. Each village produces fabrics in different designs, colors and, textures. Ikkat weaving is a type of tie and dye fabric. Yarn is bundled and dyed to create patterns on the fabric during weaving. Ikkat weaving is a laborious and skilled process. Ikkat weaving is a multiple step process that involves cleaning and separating the yarn, tying, dyeing, weaving and performing quality checks.
